Sinteso

Free PDF manuals for Siemens Sinteso fire alarm panels — the modern addressable fire detection platform from Siemens Building Technologies. The Sinteso range, including the FS720 and FS20 platforms, succeeded the Cerberus PRO range in many markets and represents the current Siemens flagship for medium and large commercial fire detection installations across Europe and beyond.

About Sinteso

Sinteso is Siemens’ current-generation modular fire alarm panel platform, building on the technology heritage of Cerberus PRO with modernised hardware and refreshed user interfaces. Sinteso panels are designed and manufactured in Siemens facilities in Switzerland and Germany, with EN 54 certification for the European market. The platform shares the underlying SinteFlex addressable protocol with Cerberus PRO, meaning the detection device range is largely interchangeable between the two platforms.

Key Sinteso product families

  • FS720 — the flagship Sinteso platform, modular and networkable for medium-to-large commercial installations
  • FS20 — the larger Sinteso platform for very large installations and networked multi-building sites
  • FT724 — control terminal for the FS720 platform
  • FCM2027 and FCM2028 — modular cabinet controllers for the Sinteso platform
  • SinteFlex addressable detectors — the same Siemens proprietary detection range that integrates with Cerberus PRO
  • ASA Detection Technology — Advanced Signal Analysis for false alarm reduction across Sinteso and Cerberus platforms

Sinteso platform features

  • EN 54-2 and EN 54-4 certified
  • SinteFlex addressable protocol
  • Modular expansion: loop drivers, network cards, sounder cards, conventional zone modules
  • Networkable up to 64 panels via SAFEDLINK fault-tolerant ring
  • ASA Advanced Signal Analysis for adaptive sensitivity and false alarm reduction
  • Multi-criteria detection (smoke + heat + CO) with intelligent algorithm selection
  • Voice evacuation integration via Cerberus PACE
  • Strong cybersecurity for networked installations
  • Modernised user interface and configuration tools compared to Cerberus PRO

ASA — Advanced Signal Analysis

One of Siemens’ key technology differentiators is ASA — Advanced Signal Analysis — which uses pattern-recognition algorithms in the panel to distinguish real fire signatures from common false alarm sources (steam, dust, electrical interference). ASA is particularly valuable in challenging environments like commercial kitchens, light industrial process areas and high-traffic public buildings where false alarms are otherwise common.

Where Sinteso is deployed

Siemens Sinteso is widely deployed across European commercial and institutional buildings:

  • Modern hospital and healthcare campuses
  • Universities and large educational institutions
  • Multi-storey commercial office buildings
  • Hotels and hospitality (particularly in DACH and Central Europe)
  • Industrial process facilities and pharmaceutical manufacturing
  • Public buildings and infrastructure (transport, utilities)
  • Heritage and museum buildings requiring sensitive fire detection

Sinteso vs Cerberus PRO

Sinteso and Cerberus PRO share underlying SinteFlex technology but differ in hardware generation, user interface design and configuration tools. New Siemens installations typically specify Sinteso, while Cerberus PRO continues for installed-base maintenance and modifications. Both platforms support the same detector and module range, simplifying parts inventory for service organisations covering both.

Siemens training

BH Courses do not currently run a Siemens-specific training programme. The underlying fire alarm engineering principles translate from the platforms covered in the Fire Alarm Training Course, but the Siemens SinteFlex protocol and ASA detection algorithms are proprietary — engineers commissioning Sinteso panels typically pursue manufacturer-specific training direct from Siemens. For broader fire alarm engineering competence to complement Siemens-specific training, see the Fire Alarm Training Course.

For UK and Irish compliance, see BS 5839 / BAFE SP203-1 compliance.
